ORNAMENT is a print magazine about cinema, established in 2020. The project's team takes their job very seriously and collaborate with artists of various disciplines to produce a high quality magazine.
In late 2022, I was lucky to work on an issue about Jim Jarmusch. My part was lettering and calligraphy combined with illustrations of other artists (each author is mentioned under his work). Michel Basquiat, David Carson and others were important references. There had to be an emphasis on grunge and deliberate sloppiness.
Here's a detailed presentation of my work. There's a lot of material in this project that wasn't published, as well as alternate layouts (director's cut, huh). I hope you will find the patience to explore it all. Enjoy!
